Medocity Launches iCancerHealth Mobile Platform for Cancer Patients

by | Apr 9, 2014 | News

PARSIPPANY, NJ – Medocity today announced the launch of its flagship product iCancerHealth™ in the Apple® App Store. The unique patient-centric application empowers patients to proactively manage their care at home and utilizes innovative and intelligent mobile solutions and interactive tools to help cancer patients address unmet needs once they leave the physician or hospital setting.

“We are focused on improving the patient’s quality of care at home. The challenges of cancer coupled with the complexities of treatment and supportive care make it difficult for patients and/or their caretakers to manage care at home effectively. In addition, most providers lack the tools, time and resources needed to transition care requirements to the patient’s home,” said Raj Agarwal, President & CEO of Medocity. “Our platform provides patients with the ability to manage and track their treatment progress, symptoms, medications, nutrition, and medical records in a coordinated manner and enables their physicians and caretakers to remotely support them. Additionally, social networking capabilities provide them with the ability to discuss and share ideas and support each other, which is invaluable for cancer patients.”

Medocity’s iCancerHealth platform provides a series of complementary modules that allow patients to proactively manage their disease. They include a Health Tracker, which monitors treatment progress, Medication Management to ensure compliance, My Diary, which includes a scrapbook of videos, images and voice entries, Social Community to exchange ideas and experiences, Education, with access to respected information resources and Nutrition to track daily meal and fluid intake. Comprehensive reports can be emailed or printed for the next doctor visit.
